Founded by Saint Cassin, this army of noble paladins protected the innocent from aberrations. Their symbol is a scarlet oak from the Emberwood, where their towered temple surrounds the sacred Angel Oak, the parent from which the entire wood is said to have sprung. Traditionally, the symbol is carved from oak, inlaid with red dyes from the autumnal leaves, and a slender silver sword, surrounded by flame.
The philosophy of the order tends to centre around themes of the trees, natural cycles and seasons, and the way the red leaves spread along the wind like tongues of flame. Members bear ritual scars or brandings displaying rank by numbers of branches or leaves.
